Founder and Owner

Dave Hoar, the owner of New England Fiberglass, has been working with fiberglass boats for 25 years. He began his career at Ted Hood's Little Harbor Boat Yard in Marblehead, Massachusetts, where he developed his passion and expertise in yacht repair and refinishing.

He formed New England Fiberglass in 1982, in Danvers, Massachusetts. He relocated the business to Portland, Maine in 1989, setting up shop in the Portland Marine Complex at the mouth of the Portland Harbor.

To this day , he continues to provide the finest quality workmanship to boat owners locally and around the world.
